Our second week at Playa Blanca - last week was cloudy and very windy. Definitely better since Friday - blue skies and not so windy (but does the wind ever stop here?)

I love the chipmunks 🐿️ you also get a lot…..if you walk along the Caleta de Fuste seafront to the right towards the Atlantico shopping centre there are a lot of chipmunks just after the Smile pizza restaurant 😍😍 Arhhhh Alvin played ball in the end 🥜🥜

I'm here now, the apartments are ok. Bed is like a rock, so if you have a bad back, good luck. The food in the buffet is more or less the same everyday. Not amazing quality but its ok. Grounds are spotless, staff are pleasant, however we did leave one day for an excursion and came back later in the evening to find the cleaners had left our apartment door wide open. Luckily nothing was taken. A weeks stay here is more than enough

I am a single older person and am at the point of trying to talk myself into going on holiday on my own. what are everyone's thoughts on this as a first destination? Also, and i know a lot of you will Boo Hoo me but can anyone tell me does this hotel allow smoking on the balconies of your room, and is there a smoking area around the pools anywhere. sorry if this offends anyone, dont want to start any great debates but I am a smoker and dont want to go somewhere that does not allow it. Just to add as Ive just been here. You can go to the additional restaurants, as many times as you want. But can only visit 1 per day.
